I use Moniker... they have fantastic support... I even have their rep on icq...
if you have over 100 domains they'll cut you a discount... right now I pay $6.95 per .com regged with them...
as for privacy... my advice is just use a company name and mail drop for the address... if you have a lot of domains it's cheaper to rent a mail drop than to buy privacy anyway...
if you do any blackhat stuff at all, you better not use godaddy... they share ownership info with google, so even if you have privacy google may still penalize you...
