we had some heavy thunderstorms yesterday and the day before...

I think water got into the porch roof from the storms and the weight of it pulled the roof away from the house...

plus, it's pretty old... the house was built in 1909...

Hope you don't own it! That would avoid the expense of repairs and make a move easier. It's a buyers market in most places.

Just had a thought. Maybe time to check the rest of the house for damage or problems... would hate to see the whole roof come down.....

yea, I'm leasing this one... had an option to buy, but this house is too big for just me and my dogs... have been looking at smaller houses... figure it'd save money on utilities and be easier to clean...

the rest of the house is solid for it's age... the front porch had to be replaced last year, but the rest of the roof is in pretty good shape...

Not a bad price at all these days. Yeah, it would be smarter to buy. You could spend that much a month and own it. There is the down-payment issue though.

If you own it and something goes wrong, you could be fucked. We've had some issues come up that cost. anything with any age on it is gonna have issues like foundation or furnace or plumbing..... the fucking list just goes on and on. All that shit takes time and money to resolve. Cause of the cost aspect, I try to do a lot myself. That takes away from time I could spend trying to make money.

Have relatives in Ohio and have been there often. Cleavland burbs and Columbus mostly.
