Default Free Open Source Analytics Statistics with Heatmaps

I just came across this Free web statistics, phpMyVisites web analytics

it's free, open source and has heatmaps!!!

I'm going to try it on a few on my sites and see how it does... if I like it I might dump the ol google analytics for it...

Are you absolutely sure that google doesn't peak at your analytics stats in determining SERP????

webair has a more than complete stats package. Presents stats in a different format than goog's analytics. I like the google stats proggie, but it is a duplication of effort as phpMyVisites would be.

Still would be interesting to see some screen shots.

I've been concerned about that for a while... I have my suspicions they may be peeking...

I'd bet they peek. And if you read all their TOS statements, somewhere in some hidden text they prolly tell you they do.

So the answer is to be creative in the way you use Analytics

I've heard talk of peeps using bots to artificially up pageviews and stuff like that...

tho, I'm not sure if it would be worth the extra server load to pull something like that...

of course if it becomes a major part of the algo I'm sure those bots will become very popular...
