in an effort to liven up the board a bit, we'll be making some changes and improvements in the coming days here...
any suggestions for things/features you'd like to see here, please post em in this thread... among the things we'll be considering and/or doing soonish: -contests -additional forums here -support for video embedding from sites like youtube, etc. -minor rule changes* *probably going to start requiring a minimum of 1 post a week or 1 post a month to maintain access to the private forums... hopefully, that'll cut down on those who are leeching and aren't making an effort to contribute or aren't even being active posters here... feedback and creative contest ideas would be much appreciated ![]() |

I'll bet you some of the people who spend less time posting are the ones implementing ideas and not watching cheesy youtube videos. LOL. :P
I wish I had suggestions. There is a reason I never got into forum building...I'm only good at using forums to spam. |

Poto, congrats on the recent growth of this forum. I understand first hand how hard they are and I have even shut mine down, due to me and a few other bots only posting there.
However I don't think minimum posting should be implemented. Infact I am not a fan of private threads, they simply won't get indexed in the se's, nor shared. I do however like the idea of the contests lol but then again my forum failed, just my 0.02 |

![]() the whole concept behind the private forums is to build a private knowledge base and keep that stuff out of the SE's, thus allowing it to be shared with our small group of serious people only... giving our peeps get first crack at it... so, even if it does end up on somebody's blog weeks or months later, at least we got an early heads up on it... plus, if you want to say honestly say something that might offend a few delicate ears, you don't have to worry about your comments being indexed... if the private forums were public and indexable, I'm sure we'd be getting a lot more SE love, but I like things the way they're setup... one idea I had a while back was to do a google bowling contest... basically, we'd select a list of targets and whoever can bowl the most targets off the list in the shortest time would win cash and nifty prizes!! and maybe some stuff for the runner-ups too - so far there hasn't seemed to be much interest in it tho... |

you got some reading to catch up on bro...
you can start here: Why is Negative SEO Becoming More Common? : Slightly Shady SEO and you could try doing a search of the board here... think we have a thread or 3 about it... |

the affiliate marketing & ppc forum we can do... I think the reason we didn't include one in the first place is mostly because I'm not very good at PPC stuff, so I couldn't have really contributed anything to it... we can give it a shot tho ![]() we're working the community thing... I think when we get the review sites up and running, that should help a bit more... this board was never meant to be extremely active tho, as most of us are fairly busy working... a contest is possible too... the 'adult date finder' thing was pretty neat... maybe we can run a similar keyword ranking competition for cash and prizes soonish... I'll have to get with Itto on that... |
