Default Say you have some javascript in your source code

Would it be a good idea to put it on a seperate notepad file and call it?
Therefore decreasing space in the webpage file and just simply removing it?

or do you see it as a bad idea for the se;s?

I like to keep things in separate files just to be organized. I don't know if it has anything to do with whether googlebot will like your page or not.
