..cant get it to work.
it's a destop publishing application (BlogDesk) and i hear it's pretty nifty. but wtf.. during the setup process i first got a 404 error (didnt find my xmlrpc.php (werdpress)).. okay, could be some htaccess thing, deleted the htaccess and now it's giving me a 403. lol. chmod to 777, still got that error. i googled around and some dude said php 5.2.x just aint compatible with xmlrpc.. can anybody confirm this?! ..heck i got fed up with them error messages and coded an online tool that does the same, saves a lotta time when you got a shitload of blogs. that brings me to my next question: anyone interested in this online blogdesk replacement thing i coded? if yes, i'll spice it up a lil bit and make it a free tool. |

I use scribefire when I'm just running around - it's a free plug in for firefox.
Anyway - I was having a problem with posting to wordpress mu on a hostgator account from another server - same script works fine when IT'S ON the hostgator account. I think it's a server setting, but don't have enough access with hostgator to figure it out. Their support was rather stupid about it so I gave up. I did find some references researching about 5.2 problems with wordpress xmlrpc. If you google on wordpress's support area you will find the threads - supposedly it only affects older versions of wordpress. |
