Dreamhost takin some hits... - BlackHatCrew

some bitchin goin on about DH these days on the boards. I have an account with some sites up. I've noticed a big slow down on loads. At least for the server I'm on.

anyone else have comment?

Have serious thoughts about moving some sites to my own server with the more expensive bw.

this board is hosted with dreamhost... but I did recently move it to a VPS with dreamhost, so it's a little more stable than the rest of their shared hosting...

really for the amount of pipe I've burned at dreamhost I have no complaints... I know they don't have the best uptime, but no host has perfect uptime and I also don't host all my stuff with them either...

DH is good. I used to speak the owner fairly often when I ran a hosting company, great guy.

ugh... has been a lot of downtime lately... problems seem to be spreading...

just got my sites on DH back up and it's slow as shit

I don't mind the occasional downtime, cuz I'm not running anything critical on DH, but if the slowness persists I'm just going to move everything out except maybe a few TGPs...

Just checked my DH sites and they are now lightning fast. I just know that is to good to be true and can't last.
